The Secretary to the President has issued an Extraordinary Gazette Notification today (28), further extending the state of emergency declared in view of the prevailing public emergency.
The extension has been made to ensure public safety, the maintenance of law and order, and the normal functioning of the country. It also aims to secure the continued provision of essential supplies and services necessary for the livelihood of the people, in light of the ongoing public emergency situation in Sri Lanka.
