A large number of local and foreign tourists visited Nuwara Eliya yesterday (27) following the recent cyclone, according to Chairman of the Nuwara Eliya Tourist Hotels Association and Service Providers’ Association, Mahinda Dodampagamage.
He said that many tourists have booked rooms and are staying at hotels and holiday resorts in the area. Dodampagamage further noted that several visitors were seen enjoying leisure activities around the Gregory Lake in Nuwara Eliya, reflecting a steady revival of tourism in the region after the adverse weather conditions.
