The Colombo Magistrate's Court has ordered the release of Jaffna District Parliamentarian Ramanathan Archchuna on anticipatory bail, against whom a warrant had been issued.
When a case filed in connection with an incident of obstructing the duty of Fort Police officers was called before the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court recently, the suspect Archchuna did not appear in court.
Accordingly, the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court had issued a warrant for his arrest and production.
Accordingly, Archchuna surrendered to the police and was produced before the court and released on bail.
