Sri Lanka has received USD 7,197 million in foreign remittance income during the first 11 months of 2025, according to Minister of Tourism and Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath.
The Minister stated that this figure represents a significant increase of 20.7 percent compared to the corresponding period last year. He highlighted that the growth reflects improved economic conditions and increased confidence among Sri Lankans employed overseas.
