Schools in Central Province closed due to adverse weather

Due to prevailing adverse weather conditions, a decision has been taken to grant holidays to all schools in the Central Province starting from tomorrow (19).

The decision was reached following a discussion held today (18) between the Governor of the Central Province, Professor Sarath Abeykoon, and provincial education authorities.

Accordingly, schools in the Central Province will also remain closed on the 22nd of this month.

Central Province Education Secretary Madhupani Piyasena stated that schools are scheduled to resume on the 29th of December as planned, following the Christmas holidays.
