The Department of Irrigation has announced that 1,000 cusecs of water will be released from the Iginimitiya Reservoir through the spill gates to downstream areas at 7.30 a.m. today (16 December 2025).
According to the Director of Irrigation (Water Management), downstream conditions are currently normal. However, downstream water users have been advised to remain alert and take necessary precautions in view of the scheduled release.
The Department has urged the public living and working along downstream waterways to exercise caution during the release period.
