All liquor licence fees have been increased by approximately 100 percent with immediate effect from today.
The revision was introduced in line with the proposal presented to Parliament by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake on December 5.
According to the newly issued gazette notification, signed by the President, several categories of charges have been raised. These include the annual excise duty fee, the required security deposit, and the one-time fee for industrial access.
