A consignment of goods and equipment sent by the Israeli government to support Sri Lanka’s flood and landslide victims arrived in Colombo today, following a request communicated by the Sri Lankan government.
The shipment includes folding beds, first aid kits, surgical gloves, hygiene kits, mosquito nets, generators, raincoats, mattresses, water tanks, baby care items, kitchen sets, water pumps, and eyeglasses, aimed at assisting affected families in severely impacted areas.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Sheba Hospital had arranged to dispatch a medical team comprising doctors and nursing staff. However, the team did not travel to Sri Lanka after the Ministry of Health informed that additional medical personnel were not required at this stage.

Authorities expressed appreciation for the support extended and noted that the relief items will be distributed promptly through relevant government agencies.
