UN Resident Representative to Sri Lanka, Mark Andrews, has assured the United Nations’ full support for Sri Lanka’s relief and reconstruction efforts following the severe weather disaster.
During a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Overseas Employment and Tourism, Vijitha Herath, at the Ministry today (08), Andrews reaffirmed the UN’s commitment to assisting the country as it recovers from widespread damage.
He stated that the UN will continue to work closely with Sri Lankan authorities to ensure aid reaches affected communities swiftly and effectively.
