The Road Development Authority (RDA) has announced that motorists will once again be required to pay tolls on all expressways, ending the temporary waiver granted due to adverse weather conditions caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

The toll waiver, which began on November 27, allowed free travel on all expressways, including the Southern Expressway, Outer Circular Road, Katunayake–Colombo Expressway, Central Expressway, and Southern Expressway extension, while the cyclone impacted the country.

The RDA said that the concession was suspended from midnight on December 3, and normal toll charges are now in effect for all vehicles.
