The government has announced that each school child affected by recent floods and landslides will receive Rs. 25,000 to support their educational activities.
According to the President’s Media Division, the financial assistance will be provided through the President’s Fund.
Schools across several districts were closed, and the 2025 GCE Advanced Level Examination was postponed midway due to the severe impact of Cyclone Ditwah, which caused widespread disruption across the country.
