Police have warned that the arrival of large numbers of relief teams and heavy vehicles is obstructing road‑clearing operations in disaster‑affected areas.
Expressing gratitude for the support, Police Media Spokesperson ASP F. U. Wootler said that in some districts, the influx of vehicles into areas where repairs are underway has disrupted work. He also noted that motorcyclists visiting affected sites to record videos have hindered officials engaged in relief duties.
ASP Wootler emphasized that such situations pose safety risks and urged relief teams to coordinate with the Divisional Secretaries to ensure efficient delivery of assistance. He also encouraged the public to contact the Disaster Operations Centre to provide relief.
