A Security Manager of the Taj Samudra hotel in Colombo has been arrested for allegedly assaulting two trainee students, Colombo Fort Police said.
The arrest was made after the trainees filed a complaint, prompting police to initiate an investigation.
A video widely shared on social media shows the manager confronting the trainees inside a room, instructing another person to close the door before questioning them. The footage captures the manager verbally abusing the students and ordering them to keep their hands down. He is then seen summoning one of the trainees closer and slapping him without warning, before ordering both to remain silent.
