A landslide struck the Rendapola area of Welimada at around 10:15 last night, leaving five people missing.
Army rescue teams arrived at the site and have successfully rescued approximately 10 individuals, including three women from Mexico and Argentina, who were trapped in the disaster. Rescue operations are ongoing.
