Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited has issued a travel advisory for passengers departing through the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), warning that several access roads remain flooded due to ongoing adverse weather.

Passengers have been advised to use the Colombo–Katunayake Expressway, which currently provides the safest and least disrupted route to the airport.

To minimize congestion inside the terminal, authorities have also requested passengers to avoid bringing visitors during this period.

Despite the weather-related challenges, airport officials say operations are continuing, and they thanked the public for their patience and cooperation as teams work to ensure the smooth functioning of services.
