The Government has announced that Sri Lankans living overseas, as well as foreign nationals, can now contribute to relief efforts for communities affected by the ongoing disaster situation in the country.

According to officials, details of the designated bank accounts are available at Sri Lankan diplomatic missions abroad and at foreign missions based in Sri Lanka. To facilitate smooth and efficient contributions, two separate accounts have been established to accept donations in both local currency and US Dollars.

The announcement was made during a discussion held today (28) with Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya and Foreign Affairs Minister Vijitha Herath, alongside foreign ambassadors in Sri Lanka and Sri Lankan envoys serving overseas.
