Due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions across the island, a significant number of people have been affected by landslides, earth slips, floods, strong winds, and related accidents.
In response, the Sri Lanka Police has introduced a set of emergency telephone numbers for the public to report disaster situations promptly and seek assistance.
The public can now contact the operations rooms of all 47 Police Divisions in the country to report emergencies and obtain support.
