Passengers scheduled to travel to or from Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) today and tomorrow are strongly urged to contact their airlines for the latest flight information before heading to the airport.
Air Chief Marshal (Retd.) Harsha Abeywickrema, Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) Pvt. Ltd. (AASL), said that passenger safety and security remain the top priority.
He added that airport management and Air Traffic Control are working closely with airline partners and relevant authorities to monitor conditions and minimize operational disruptions.
He expressed appreciation for the patience and understanding of travelers and hoped that prevailing weather conditions would improve soon.
SriLankan Airlines passengers are advised to check flight status by calling 1979 (within Sri Lanka) or +94 11 777 1979 (international).
