A student from Hartley College in Point Pedro sat for the Advanced Level examination last Friday despite being bitten by a snake on the school premises.

The incident came to light after the examination began, when the student noticed bleeding from his leg and realised he had been bitten. Examination invigilators immediately arranged for him to be taken to a nearby hospital in an ambulance.

After receiving treatment, the student returned to the examination hall to complete his paper, with the school keeping an ambulance on standby. Once the exam ended, he was taken back to the hospital and admitted for further treatment.

The determined student also arrived in an ambulance to sit for another exam paper held yesterday.
