An accident occurred tonight (23) on the Mawanella–Rambukkana road when a large tree fell onto a three-wheeler traveling in the Talagolla area.
According to reports, several passengers were trapped inside the vehicle due to the tree collapse. One child who was inside the three-wheeler has been admitted to the Mawanella Base Hospital.
Rescue operations are currently underway to free the remaining individuals trapped at the scene.
