Sri Lanka Railways announced that the obstructions previously affecting the up-country railway line have now been completely cleared, restoring the track to safe operating condition.

Accordingly, the night mail train from Colombo Fort to Badullascheduled to depart at 8:30 p.m.and the night mail train from Badulla to Colombo Fort—scheduled to depart at 6:30 p.m. will operate as planned today (21).

However, the Railways Department stated that train from Colombo Fort to Badulla, departing at 9:45 a.m., and train from Badulla to Colombo Fort, departing at 10:20 a.m., will be cancelled tomorrow (22). All other train services on the up-country line are expected to run normally.
