The government has not taken any decision to change the uniforms of nursing officers, Health Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa informed Parliament today.
He clarified that any decision related to the uniforms of health sector professionals must be made by a committee chaired by the Director General of Health Services.
Responding to a question raised by MP M.L.A.M. Hizbullah, the Minister said that if any health sector professional or group believes a uniform change is necessary, they must submit a proposal to the committee. The committee will then evaluate the practicality and importance of such a change before arriving at a final decision.
