Sri Lanka Police has announced an alternative telephone number for the public to lodge corruption and drug-related complaints with the Senior Officer in Charge of the Western Province.
The Police stated that a dedicated mobile number was first issued in September 2025 for then–Senior DIG Sanjeewa Dharmaratne to receive such complaints. However, following his transfer to an administrative post, Senior DIG Sanjeewa Medawatte has now been appointed as the new Officer in Charge of the Western Province.
Accordingly, the public is requested to channel all corruption and narcotics-related information to SDIG Medawatte via 071-8592621.
