A teacher from a school in Moratuwa, arrested on charges of sexually abusing a 14-year-old student, was ordered to be remanded until December 1 by the Moratuwa Magistrate.
Meanwhile, the school principal—arrested for allegedly attempting to conceal the incident—was released on bail, with two sureties of Rs. 100,000 each.
The suspects, aged 58 and 59, are residents of Baduraliya and Piliyandala. Police further stated that several additional complaints have been lodged against the teacher as investigations continue.
