The Cabinet of Ministers has approved awarding the contract for the construction of a seven-storey residential building in Kandy under the Kandy Multimodal Transport Terminal Development Project for Sri Lanka Railways.
Bids were invited through the National Competitive Bidding Procedure, and five bids were received, of which four were deemed technically responsive. Following evaluation of the financial proposals, the High-Level Standing Procurement Committee recommended awarding the contract to Maga Engineering (Pvt) Ltd for Rs. 1.53 billion (excluding VAT).
The approval was granted based on a proposal presented by the Minister of Transport, Highways, and Urban Development.
