A train bound for Badulla from Kandy derailed at Ohiya Railway Station early this morning, around 4:00 a.m.
Reports say three wheels of the train left the tracks, resulting in interruptions to train services along the upcountry route.
Railway officials have launched an investigation and are working to resume normal operations as quickly as possible.
