The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued early landslide warnings to residents in multiple areas as continuous rainfall persists across several parts of the island.
NBRO has issued Level 2 (Amber) landslide warnings to:
Haldummulla Divisional Secretariat Division (DSD) and surrounding areas in the Badulla District
Aranayaka Divisional Secretariat Division (DSD) and surrounding areas in the Kegalle District
Residents in these areas are urged to remain vigilant, monitor ground conditions, and be prepared to move to safer locations if necessary. Authorities advise the public to follow official updates and take all precautionary measures amid the ongoing severe weather.
