A private bus overturned at Jayaganga Junction in Thalawa, Anuradhapura, police said.
The Thalawa Police said that the injured were referred to nearby hospitals, including Thalawa and Thambuttegama.
Police added that among the injured were children who had appeared for the GCE A/L examination.
