The Disaster Management Centre (DMC), in collaboration with the Department of Examinations, has implemented a special joint operational plan to minimize possible disruptions caused by natural disasters during the exam period.

According to the DMC, the initiative aims to ensure that students sitting for the A/L examination are not adversely affected by unexpected weather conditions or other disaster-related challenges.

Guidelines have been issued to relevant institutions outlining measures to be taken to maintain a safe environment throughout the examination period, free from disaster risks.

Students who may face difficulties in attending the examination due to any disaster situation are advised to contact the Disaster Management Centre via the hotline 117 or the Department of Examinations through 1911.

In addition, the National Examination Emergency Operations Unit established at the DMC’s Emergency Operations Centre can be reached through the following hotlines for coordination and assistance: 011 366 8026, 011 366 8032, 011 366 8087, and 011 366 8119.
