The Police Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two individuals reportedly connected to major international drug traffickers currently operating overseas.
The raids were carried out in Egodauyana (Moratuwa) and Unnaruwa (Minuwangoda), uncovering links to notorious figures in the narcotics underworld.
One suspect, arrested in Modara, is a relative of “Dubai Taranga,” a well-known drug trafficker believed to be based in Dubai. Officers recovered 5 grams and 130 milligrams of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) from him.
In a separate operation in Unnaruwa, another individual was arrested with Ice. He is reportedly a close associate of “Sunil Shantha” (Sunna), another high-profile criminal currently residing overseas.
