The Ministry of Education has announced the schedule for the reopening of schools following the completion of the first phase of the third school term.
All government and government-approved private schools will conclude the first phase of the third term on Friday, November 7, 2025.
According to the Ministry, Sinhala and Tamil medium schools will resume academic activities for the second phase on December 8, while Muslim schools will reopen earlier, on November 24.
The Ministry said the schedule was arranged to ensure adequate preparation time for the final academic phase of the 2025 school year.
