Mrs. A. M. G. N. Deepthi Sumanasena, a Special Grade Officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service, has been appointed as the new Commissioner General of Ayurveda and will assume duties tomorrow (6) at 9.00 a.m. at the Department of Ayurveda in Navinna, Maharagama.

Mrs. Sumanasena, who currently serves as the Labour Commissioner at the Department of Labour, began her public service career as a Labour Officer and later held positions as Assistant Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. She has also served as a Ministerial Advisor at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kuwait.

With extensive experience in the administrative service, Mrs. Sumanasena is recognized for her long and dedicated contribution to public administration.

Officials from the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, the Department of Ayurveda, and other staff members are expected to attend the ceremony marking her assumption of duties.
