A major step has been taken to strengthen the financial sector through the promotion of secure lending, according to Central Bank Governor Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe.
He stated that within a very short period, a digital platform has been introduced for the registration of security interests on movable assets.
The digital platform, aimed at implementing the Secured Transactions Registry for registering security interests on movable assets, was officially launched today (03) in Colombo under the patronage of Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe.
Secretary to the Ministry of Finance, Harsha Suriyapperuma, also attended the event.
The initiative was organized by the Secured Transactions Registration Authority.
