The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has informed the court that it will conduct further investigations into five actors who are reported to have had connections with Kehelbaddara Padme.
According to the CID, the inquiries aim to determine whether these actors were involved in illegal activities such as drug trafficking, money laundering, or firearms-related crimes while maintaining ties with Padme.
Taking the submitted information into account, the Chief Magistrate of Colombo has instructed the CID to provide a progress report on the investigations by 7th November 2025.
