A delegation from the ADB’s Transport Division met with Ports, Shipping and Aviation Minister Anura Karunathilaka and State Minister Janith Ruwan Kodithuwakku to discuss ongoing and future cooperation.
During the meeting, the delegation recalled the longstanding assistance provided by the ADB to Sri Lanka’s port sector over the years. They also discussed the financial allocations made by the ADB for updating the National Port Master Plan and for the construction of the West Container Terminal’s breakwater.
Furthermore, the representatives assured that the ADB will continue to extend full support to the maritime sector in the future.
