The government today launched its new national program to eradicate the drug menace, titled “United as a Nation – National Drive” , under the patronage of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in Colombo.
The launch event brought together religious leaders, community safety committees, members of the police and tri-forces, along with 50 foreign diplomats, who expressed their support for the government’s effort to combat narcotics.
The initiative aims to eliminate drug use and trafficking that continue to threaten the lives and future of **Sri Lanka’s youth and schoolchildren**, while promoting a united national front against illegal drugs.
