In line with the provisions of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Act, No. 16 of 2023, the Hon. Minister of Finance, following the recommendation of the Central Bank’s Governing Board, has appointed Dr. C. Amarasekara and Mr. K.G.P. Sirikumara, both former Assistant Governors, as Deputy Governors of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Dr. Amarasekara’s appointment takes effect from 24 October 2025, while Mr. Sirikumara assumes office on 3 November 2025.
