A man has died after being shot with an air rifle in the Galenbindunuwewa area, police said.
Preliminary investigations indicate that a personal dispute between a father-in-law and son-in-law last night escalated into the shooting.
The deceased, a resident of Ihalagala, succumbed to serious injuries after being admitted to Galenbindunuwewa Hospital.
The Galenbindunuwewa Police have launched an investigation to apprehend the suspect.
