The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has announced that the landslide warnings issued for several Divisional Secretariat divisions across 10 districts have been further extended due to ongoing heavy rainfall.
According to NBRO, the warnings will remain in effect from 4:00 PM today (25) until 4:00 PM tomorrow (26).
The districts under continued landslide risk include Colombo, Kalutara, Galle, Kegalle, Kandy, Kurunegala, Matale, Matara, Nuwara Eliya, and Ratnapura.
Authorities urge residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines as adverse weather conditions continue.
