The body of an unidentified man, about five feet tall and dressed in blue jeans, was found washed up on the seabed near the jetty at the Adani Terminal of the Colombo Port, police said.
The body was recovered by authorities and has been taken to the Colombo National Hospital for a magisterial examination.
Investigations are underway to identify the deceased and determine the cause of death.
