The Ministry of Education has said that it will take legal action regarding a fake document circulating on social media, falsely claiming to be the draft of the proposed national education reforms.
Secretary to the Ministry, Nalaka Kaluwewa, clarified that the alleged 2026 education reform proposal has not been issued or approved by the Ministry or any of its affiliated institutions.
He added that steps are being taken to identify those responsible for creating and distributing the fake document, and legal proceedings will be initiated soon.
