The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has recorded a statement from popular actress Piyumi Hansamali for nearly two hours yesterday (21), in connection with an ongoing investigation related to Kehelbaddara Padme.
Police sources said the questioning was based on a photo found on Padme’s mobile phone, in which Piyumi Hansamali appears alongside several other well-known actresses. Investigators have also uncovered multiple telephone conversations between Padme and Hansamali on the same device.
The CID further stated that other actresses featured in the photo will also be summoned to record statements as part of the ongoing inquiry.
