The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the appointment of Mr. N.K.U. Rohana as the new Surveyor General of the Department of Survey of Sri Lanka, with immediate effect.
The proposal for the appointment was presented by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation and received Cabinet approval accordingly.
Mr. Rohana, who currently serves as the Senior Additional Surveyor General of the Special Grade of the Sri Lanka Survey Department, will assume duties following the retirement of Mr. Y.G. Gnanathilake, who retired from public service on October 1, 2025.
This appointment fills the vacancy created by Mr. Gnanathilake’s retirement and ensures the continued leadership of the Department of Survey under Mr. Rohana’s supervision.
