The price of gold in Sri Lanka has seen a sharp decline, falling by Rs. 60,000 compared to last Friday. Today (22), gold prices dropped further by Rs. 20,000 in a single day.
At the Colombo Sea Street Gold Market, the price of a pound of 22-carat gold fell to Rs. 322,000, down from Rs. 379,200 last Friday.
Similarly, 24-carat gold dropped from Rs. 410,000 on Friday to Rs. 350,000 today, according to market sources.
