The Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) announced that the technical issues which caused the recent disruption to the Lanka Government Cloud (LGC) have been fully resolved. All affected online government services are now operational and accessible to the public.

In a statement, ICTA assured that at no point during the incident was the security or integrity of data compromised. The agency confirmed that the highest standards of data protection and security were upheld throughout the restoration process and that no data loss was reported.

ICTA extended its gratitude to all government institutions for their cooperation during the restoration period and to the public for their patience and understanding. It also expressed appreciation to industry partners for their swift response and deployment of resources, which helped restore services promptly and ensured continuity of public services.

Addressing recent media reports, ICTA clarified that the newly contracted and upgraded LGC environment is now ready to take over workloads from the existing system through a planned migration process. The agency stressed that this migration exercise had not commenced at the time of the disruption and was not related to the system failure.

ICTA reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring uninterrupted digital government services and said that continuous measures are being implemented to enhance the resilience, capacity, and reliability of the Lanka Government Cloud to support Sri Lanka’s growing digital ecosystem.
