A group of Chinese tea traders paid a courtesy visit to former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at his private residence in Tangalle yesterday (16).

During the visit, the delegation presented gifts to the former president and inquired about his health and well-being.

According to reports, this marks the first visit by a group of Chinese traders since Rajapaksa relocated to Tangalle after vacating his official residence in Colombo.

The delegation, engaged in the tea export industry, met the former president while on their way to Weligama and Nuwara Eliya as part of their tour of Sri Lanka’s tea-producing regions.
