Heavy rainfall and dense fog affecting the western slopes of the Central Highlands since this afternoon (15) have disrupted both daily life and vehicular movement in the area.
Reports indicate that the Hatton–Nuwara Eliya and Hatton–Colombo main roads, as well as several byroads, are experiencing low visibility due to thick fog.
The Traffic Division of the Hatton Police has urged motorists to switch on their vehicle headlights and drive cautiously at reduced speeds while travelling on these routes.
