Former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara is scheduled to appear before the Bribery Commission this morning (15) to provide a statement regarding alleged irregularities in sending Sri Lankan workers to Israel for agricultural employment during the previous government.
Nanayakkara’s lawyer informed Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanka S. Bodaragama yesterday that his client would attend the Bribery Commission today to give the statement.
Meanwhile, the Magistrate dismissed a request made by the former minister seeking bail in anticipation of a possible arrest by the Commission.
