Sri Lankan bodybuilder Jagath Gunasekara has brought pride to the nation by securing third place in the Senior Open category (over 35 years) at the Olympia Amateur Las Vegas 2025 — one of the world’s premier bodybuilding competitions.
The event, held on October 8 at the Nevada Hotel World Resort in Las Vegas, featured top bodybuilding champions from 28 countries. Competing against some of the finest athletes in the world, Gunasekara’s achievement marks a significant milestone for Sri Lanka in international bodybuilding.
Jagath Gunasekara is currently employed as a security officer at a foreign embassy in the State of Kuwait while continuing his dedication to bodybuilding.
