The Director General of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), Mr. Ranga Dissanayake, emphasized that the public bears a crucial responsibility in creating a corruption-free nation.

He made these remarks while attending the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the University Grants Commission (UGC) and CIABOC. The event took place at the main auditorium of the Commission.

The MoU aims to encourage the active participation of the university community in implementing the National Action Plan for the Prevention of Bribery and Corruption in Sri Lanka.

Through this new agreement, CIABOC and the UGC intend to strengthen collaboration in promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability within higher education institutions across the country.
